The complicated Truth About The Perfect Vagina 08 jun

Article originally published on

As far as publicity stunts go, the “first ever designer vagina showcase” was pretty damn effective. Timed to coincide with the spectacular runway parades that mark New York Fashion Week, the event was Dr. Amir Marashi’s chance to show the world what he can do: With a little slicing and suturing, he can give you the vagina of your dreams. Inside the sprawling midtown conference room where the “show” would take place, sparkling rosé and cupcakes were served. Guests were greeted by a perfectly taut, hair-free, millennial pink silicone vagina model, which Dr. Marashi then used to explain the slate of procedures on offer during his powerpoint presentation of before-and-after vulva shots. Dr. Marashi is the owner of the Brooklyn Gyn Place clinic and a diplomat of American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology You can also view his very nice tutorial video about FemiLift-

FemiLift for Urinary Incontinence, Postmenopausal & Other Vaginal Symptoms

Dr. Joke Haartsen of the Netherlands shares her experience treating women with FemiLift.

"I meet many women who experience stress Incontinence"

What is Urinary Incontinence?

"Urinary Incontinence means you leak urine under exertion. It happens when the body experiences pressure such as laughing, sneezing, coughing, or sports. It is the single most common form of undesired urine loss and can happen at any age. It’s not uncommon for young women, especially young mothers." Study Case I "Today Ms. X came for a check-up. She first came to see me for her Urinary Incontinence while running. She’s 40 years old, has 3 children, and is very athletic. She hated that running had become virtually impossible – physiotherapy did not do the trick for her. She was less than excited about surgical options. After 3 treatments with the FemiLift (a vaginal fractional CO2 laser), one every 4 weeks, she is completely symptom-free. She had outpatient treatments, who took only minutes and were completely pain-free. After her treatments, she could immediately continue with her day as normal. Not only is she able to run without urinating again, she even told me that she can trampoline with a full bladder again!" The Major Advantage "It’s non-surgical. There is no downtime, I only advise my patients to abstain from sex for 3 days. The treatment itself is relatively painless. Improving the quality of de collagen of the vagina, and through that, the firmness of the vagina leads to a restoration of continence in 85-90% of treated women."

The Ideal Solution to Postmenopausal Vaginal Symptoms

"I meet outpatients with postmenopausal vaginal symptoms every day at work"

Why Does It Happen?

Because the estrogen production stops after the menopause, the vagina gets drier, more prone to infections, and less elastic. These changes can cause discomfort, blood loss, and pain during sex. In the past, only estrogen treatment could provide help in these cases. Nowadays, vaginal laser treatments provide the ideal solution

Study Case II  "Ms. Y came to see me at the clinic because she suffered from vaginal dryness to the point where sex became virtually impossible. Lube did not help. She had been using Estriol vaginal crème for a while, and although it had an adequate effect she had to stop using it because it caused painful swelling in her breasts. As a result, the dryness then went stayed. Not only did she suffer from it a lot, it also affected her relationship. After 3 treatments only with the FemiLift, she was completely free from these symptoms; her lubrication was completely restored. She was able to have sex without pain again. After 3-4 outpatient treatments, 1 every 4 weeks, 90-95% of all women are liberated from their vaginal symptoms. There’s no need for anesthesia, as the treatment is virtually painless." The Major Advantage "The women I’ve treated with the FemiLift are now completely symptom-free and weren't required to start over with the hormone treatments they used before. There are no complications. Because the treatment does not stop the aging process, repeat visits are necessary once every 1 or 2 years. However, because of the simplicity of the treatment, this is no cause for concern for most women." [blog_optin title=" Any of this sound familiar? It’s time to have that conversation, ladies. 14 feb

Here's some good news for women of all ages.

Even as mature, knowledgeable women, we still feel a bit awkward sharing information about our private parts. After all, they are, well, private.

Isn't it a shame that we often compromise our pleasure, or our comfort, because we're embarrassed? Or don't know who to ask? Or not even sure we even have a problem? For many women, just like yourself, part of the problem is acknowledging that something is bothering you. You may feel like something is not right, or that it used to be better or different, but many times we as women just sort of accept it. We are so used to  just getting on with our lives, or getting used to changes in our body, that we don't stop and ask - "is this ok? can anything be done about it?" Well, ladies- here is the good news: YES! There is plenty to be done! So, let's start by getting into some detail, shall we?

Let's start with some facts...

First of all, a bit of scientific info (not too scientific, don't worry). As we age, our bodies change, inside and out. That includes our female anatomy, and yes – our vaginas, too. Natural hormonal changes that come with age, along with changes in our anatomical structure due to childbirth, menopause or surgery, can lead to loss in vaginal laxity (that means your vagina wall is stretched out) or stress urinary incontinence (which is why you may find yourself running to the ladies room so often). Another uncomfortable result may be a loss of sensation and decrease in sexual pleasure. Well. Nobody deserves that. Especially when there's something that can be done about it. Times are changing and as technology moves forward at a fast pace, so do the options you have to take care of these issues – easily, and most importantly – safely.

Here's some good news for your vagina.

[caption id="attachment_16798" align="alignright" width="510"]FemiLift - vaginal Rejuvenation Deep thermal effect for vaginal tissue rejuvenation[/caption] Energy-based technology has made huge progress in recent years. We have seen so much progress in anti-aging and safe, non-surgical lifting processes for the face and body, that it seems like there is an abundance of options for women (and men) who want to maintain their youthful looks over time. Everything and anything from laser treatments to radio frequency techniques seems to be having a huge impact on body contouring, face lifting, anti-aging, wrinkle reduction, pigmentation, hair removal and even tattoo removal. So, what about our vaginas? Well, the truth is that in recent years, cutting-edge technologies used for the face and body, are now being directed towards the improvement of vaginal functioning and appearance. The same principles that have been working successfully for years are now available for women who want to feel better and lead a more fulfilling feminine life. One solution for numerous issues. Just like any tightening or rejuvenation process works on your face, or any other part of your body, so can your vagina be tightened or, essentially, "lifted". Using highly advanced CO2 laser technology, a very successful minimally invasive solution called FemiLift is being used to treat a wide range of feminine issues, including SUI (stress urinary incontinence), vaginal tightening, post-menopause indications such as dry vaginal lining and thinning, as well as clearing up recurring infections or irritation. Regardless of your age or issue, this treatment is completely safe and virtually painless and can be done in a comfortable out-patient environment. There is no need to take any time off and results are really quick. Of course, you would have to consult your gynecologist but basically, every woman who feels like something is not quite right can be helped. Isn't it a shame not to? [blog_optin title=" Any of this sound familiar? Contact us if you want to hear more."][contact-form-7 id="16705" title="blog optin"][/blog_optin]

So, here are a few tips:

  • First of all, don't be shy. There's really nothing to be embarrassed about. These issues are so common, they really should be part of any conversation (ok, maybe not every conversation – but you get the idea.)
  • Get in touch with your body. Ask yourself some basic questions such as: "Does this feel right?", "Am I running to the restroom more often than I think I should be?", "Does my vagina feel dry or irritated?, "Am I enjoying sex as much as I used to?", "Does something feel different?". You have to start the conversation with yourself first if you want to get answers and solutions for your body.
  • Ask your doctor. Any good gynecologist or even your GP should know about this and will be able to help you find the best solution for your needs. If you want to get more information on your own, check out This website will provide all the answers to your questions, and also has a contact page so you can feel free to contact them if you need more assistance. It also refers you to a doctor in your area, if you want to contact a professional in person.
  • Don't wait. As with anything else in life, putting it off doesn't make it go away. It usually just makes it worse. The sooner you decide to take care of your issue – as minor or major as it seems – the quicker you will be able to benefit from a better, more satisfying and enjoyable feminine life. You deserve it.

Post Menopause women

FemiLift: The ideal solution for post-menopause vaginal issues

Menopause is not an easy experience. It changes the body in several ways, and many women suffer from vaginal problems during and after this natural phase. FemiLift by Alma Lasers (a fractional CO2 laser) has proven to be a safe, efficient solution for these problems. Postmenopausal hormonal changes cause differences in the mucous membranes and connective tissue surrounding the vagina. As a result, almost 50% of all women experience vaginal dryness, pain during sex, and Urinary Incontinence after menopause. FemiLift stimulates the mucous membranes of the vagina which fortifies it, improves blood circulation, and rejuvenates the lining of the vagina. The elasticity of the vagina is regained, and lubrication eases – which improves sexual arousal. Additionally, fortifying the vaginal wall also reduces Urinary Incontinence. The treatment is suitable for all postmenopausal women who experience vaginal symptoms and pain during sex. It also an essential solution for women who have survived breast cancer and can not be treated by hormone supplements. It is outpatient and virtually painless. There is no downtime – after the treatment, you can continue as normal. We would, however, recommend avoiding sex for up till 3 days afterward. After only 3 treatments 85-90% of all women are completely symptom-free – there are no complications. Because the treatment does not stop the aging process, repeat visits are necessary once every 1 or 2 years.

FemiLift is a revolutionary risk-free treatment that restores control of your bladder.

Dr. Alexandros Bader – Talks About Post Delivery.

Now that the pregnancy is (finally) over, you've been rewarded with a living, breathing wonder - and a new title: Mom. Like just about everything else in your life, your body faces significant changes in the weeks and months following your baby's birth. In this postpartum period, which begins immediately after delivery, your body will heal from childbirth, rebuild its strength and begin to regain its pre-pregnancy shape. The more you know about what to expect, the better prepared you'll be to cope with the physical and emotional changes that come post-pregnancy. Women may experience a wide range of postpartum problems, some more serious than others and each with its own symptoms. Some of the more common problems include:
    • Postpartum infections, (including uterine, bladder, or kidney infections)
    • Excessive bleeding after delivery
  • Pain in the perineal area (between the vagina and the rectum)
  • Vaginal discharge
[blog_optin title="find out more about femilift"][contact-form-7 id="16705" title="blog optin"][/blog_optin] Luckily, there’s a solution – and it’s called FemiLift. FemiLift is a non-surgical, quick, pain-free and safe solution this simple, pain-free procedure can make a huge difference in women lives. These issues are much more common than you would ever imagine – and now they’re really easy to solve. We think it’s time to get the conversation going – and do something about it.

We asked Dr. Alxandros Bader, from his experience on post-delivery –

Dr. Bader who specializes in aesthetic and cosmetic vaginal surgery and urogynecology has performed over 1,500 operations worldwide and has operated on patients from more than 45 different countries. What are the main complications after delivery? What are their main complaints? The main complications are the relaxation of local muscles and multi wounds of the introitus and entire vaginal canal. The main complaints are feeling of loose muscles and lack of control on them. Symptoms, in this case, are lack of urine control with leakage every time the patients are pressing on the lower abdominal walls (gym, cough, sneeze, sexual intercourse). Also, the laxity of the tissues at same area will alert these patients with lack of sexual satisfaction and alteration of sexual life quality. What are the age groups SUI and Laxity are most common at? Is there any difference between the age groups? Usually, the age group here is young women in their reproductive age. So we can talk in between 30 and 45. Of course, the older is the woman it gets worse because of tissue elasticity which is definitely getting affected by age and the number of deliveries. Statistics in the USA shows that 28,000,000 women suffering from UI and among them, 15,000,000 are suffering from SUI only!!  Meaning more than 50% of urine Incontinence patients suffer from stress type of Incontinence which is mainly related to post-delivery anatomical defects. Are the complications show up after first pregnancy? Second? When should the woman seek for treatment? It could happen after any pregnancy. This depends on the nature of the pregnancy and the delivery itself. Has the woman had a difficult delivery, if vacuum or forceps have been used, how big is the neonatal and of course how experience is the obstetrician. Bear in mind that in some countries normal deliveries are in the duty of midwife and not even a doctor. In this case, complications might be even greater.

How long after the delivery will you recommend undergoing the treatment?(/h4>

My recommendations are 3 to 4 months. Usually, I include this during the routine check-up 3 months after the delivery. Can breastfeeding Interrupt with the treatment? Not at all. This is one of the laser advantages. We can use it without interfering the synergy between a mother and her baby. A laser is safe in this case. What is the success rate of FemiLift treatments? The success rate is extremely high. About 83% of SUI and Vaginal laxity issue treatments are considered as the success. We have a high prevention percentage of the same symptoms. From my statistics’ we are talking about 87% of success!!! Do you see growth in women seeking a treatment after delivery? Definitely yes. Patients are constantly asking about the procedure. I can say that after 5 years of experience in this field, every 2nd woman is asking to be informed about it and every 3rd woman is asking to undergo the treatment!! This is massive if you add the numbers.

This Jilted Bride Rejuvenated Her Life And My Vagina 22 nov

Sandra Lamorgese, Ph.D., author and podcast host visits Nicole Contos, owner of NY's "Smooth Synergy" spa to speak about her FemiLift vagina rejuvenation treatment and to try it herself.

A life-changing event

What if, 30 minutes after your wedding was supposed to start, the best man shows up and announces that the groom is not coming? This type of sudden, severe, and tragic event can completely crush our balance, make us utterly vulnerable, and force us into a life forever changed. Nearly 20 years ago, Nicole Contos was that bride left at the altar. She was devastated, but not only did she survive this heartbreaking event, she thrived and created a brand new, decidedly unusual life. She decided to go forward with the reception, which was now transformed into a celebration of living life through positivity.” Since that confusing and temporarily life-crushing day, Nicole continued soaking in this wisdom of positivity by surrounding herself with family and friends and stubbornly believing in the truth and strength of her own identity.

A happy ending

These days, she can be found at her successful female-empowering Cosmedical Spa called Smooth Synergy in New York City. She owns and operates the spa with her husband of more than 15 years, George Liakeas. Together, they have created something they call the “FemiLift Vagina Rejuvenation treatment,” which is a treatment designed to increase natural vaginal lubrication, improve mild urinary stress incontinence, and even tighten the vaginal walls to help increase pleasure and the likelihood of orgasm during intercourse. The process is pretty painless and takes only a few minutes, so while I visited Nicole and Dr. George in New York for this interview, I decided to give it a try. (Afterwards, I was little sore for about 24 hours, but then I felt great. I give their vagina rejuvenation treatment two thumbs up!)
